Budisari House
Description

Residential

Budisari House project is underlying different experiences on each level, it tries to give a sequential spatial experience for the owner and also guest, the house consisted of 5 storeys tucked into the hill, and each level emphasizing different functionality. First storey is being used as a carport, 2nd storey is guest receiving area, 3rd storey is an open living, dining, open kitchen, and multi-functional rooms, 4th storey is for family room and all bedrooms with extended open semi outdoor terrace, and 5th storey is for open roof top garden and laundry area.

Our main concept was introducing a programme tucked volume house that is nestled in between various types of neighbouring houses, which lead us to provide an open plan concept on each floor which is suited with the client profession and give a freedom to the client to modify the house. The house design approach is able to adapt for several functions; by applying several open plans will allow the user for more flexibility.

The first layer of the building or windows are adjustable to rest on one or both sides of the neighbouring walls, and in the second layer with stacked planter boxes metal which will allow the owner to prevent West hot sun having a direct sunlight according to their necessities. The house was designed to avoid columns that are exposed, and each floor is free open space that could be used for multi purposes.

Architecture has been a tool of commodities that are being traded like a fashion, whether being shown either in public or for private purposes, the design was intended to achieve certain level of efficiency, simplicity, openness, which are the main characteristics of our traditional culture
